Membership Information

General meetings are held the third Wednesday of every month.  All members and prospective members are encouraged to attend.  Minutes from the general meetings are published in the newsletter.

Hidden Valley Obedience Club, Incorporated, Objectives and Purposes:
The specific purpose of this corporation is to dedicate itself to the following objectives:

1. Promotion of dog obedience training by offering classes to the public for all breeds of dogs.
2. Contributing to the public awareness of the responsibilities of owning and caring for dogs.
3. Encouraging participation within the sport of dog obedience and acceptance of the rules of the American Kennel Club as it relates to obedience and other related dog activities.
4. Promotion of sportsman-like conduct in competitive dog obedience and other related activities.
5. To conduct sanctioned matches and licensed obedience trials under the rules of the American Kennel Club.

Membership to HVOC is open to persons who are in good standing with the American Kennel Club and who subscribe to the objective and purposes of this Club.  Please bring the completed membership application to any club meeting (held on the third Wednesday of each month, at 8:00 pm, on the training grounds) so that it may be read to the members present.  Dues must accompany application.  At the following club meeting, the application will be voted upon and will require affirmative votes of 75% of the members present and voting to elect the applicant(s) to membership.

MEMBERSHIP:

REGULAR

• $30.00 for the first adult member of a household.  $10.00 for each additional adult member.
• Eligible to vote, hold office and earn Puppy Paws.
• Will receive Newsletter.
• Must be least 18 years of age.

ASSOCIATE

• $20.00 for the first adult member of a household.  $10.00 for each additional adult member.
• NOT eligible to vote or hold office.
• May earn Puppy Paws.
• Will receive Newsletter.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

JUNIOR

• $5.00 for membership.
• Eligible to earn Puppy Paws.
• Will receive Newsletter.
• Must be 10 to 17 years of age.
